Bar Fifty Ranch

We are a cattle & horse ranch located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains just 20 minutes south of Hot Springs. We have 2 room suites in the Bed & Breakfast Lodge and we have Cedar Log cabins which sit back on the bluff overlooking the valley and hills behind us. There are 2 small cabins built for 2 people and make wonderful honeymoon or romantic getaway spots.  They feature a kingsize bed and jacuzzi for 2, woodburning stove, full kitchen, TV/VCR with a complimentary video library, 3/4 bath, private balcony and heat/air.  The family cabins will sleep 6 and feature a queen bed upstairs with a jacuzzi for 2 sitting by a full window with a wonderful view of the hills behind us, another bedroom area downstairs and a sleeper sofa, full kitchen, full bath, TV/VCR and a full length deck on the back.  Each cabin has a BBQ grill off the deck. Breakfast is not included with the cabins but is available at an extra cost.  We have horseback riding for the experienced or inexperienced. We can take you on an hour ride, 2 hour ride or a 3 1/2 hour ride with a picnic lunch. We breed, raise and train horses so you might even see a foal born or see a new one the next morning in a stall.  (We cannot double or take children younger than 6 on a trail ride.) The pool is open from April thru October. There is a cookshed by the pool and is available for our guests to use.  Bring your fishing gear and catch come big ones in one of 5 catch and release ponds. Get to know all of our animal friends which includes buffalo & llamas, as well as all the usual farm animals such as chickens, ducks, geese, pigs and goats.  Our miniature donkeys are the cutest.
We're only 20 minutes from Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs and about 30 minutes from downtown Hot Springs.  Go in for a nice dinner or mineral bath and massage.  Take the kids to the science museum or miniature golfing or spend a day at Magic Springs Amusement and Water Park. A fine fishing lake, Lake DeGray is on 15 minutes away.  There is also a fine golf course at Lake DeGray.
Or just come and sit on the porch and watch everyone else work, read a book or rock your cares away in the rocking chair outside your door.
