Well, let’s just say that Garvan Woodland Gardens Holiday Lights display is one for the bucket list.
First of all, Garvan Woodland Gardens, University of Arkansas’ botanical garden, is in Hot Springs National Park. The park’s 4.5 miles are located on a wooded peninsula extending into Lake Hamilton.
The gardens are home to a wide variety of plantings. You’ll see spectacular examples of camellias, magnolias, roses, hydrangeas, and more than 150 different varieties of azaleas! The gardens also have numerous waterfalls, walkways, and bridges. There’s a pavilion designed by famed architect E. Faye Jones, the stunning Anthony Chapel, and even a miniature railroad!
During Garvan Woodland Gardens Holiday Lights event, over 4 million twinkling lights transform 17 acres of the park to a wonderland of color and motion. Complimentary hot chocolate is offered to warm you and the gardens’ Chipmunk Café will be open and serving seasonal fare from 3pm to 9pm, daily.
