ACANSA Arts Festival is just around the corner, September 13th through the 28th, 2019. The 6th annual Arts Festival of the South will once again host a series of special weekend performances and events in various venues around Little Rock and North Little Rock, AR.
The annual ACANSA Arts Festival of the South has been bringing a diverse array of talent to Little Rock every September since 2014. The festival celebrates with live music, theater, workshops, symposiums, and art in all its myriad forms.
This year’s event continues the tradition with a roster that includes Latin pop sensation Gina Chavez, award-winning food historian Jessica B. Harris, contemporary dance troupe BODYTRAFFIC, and renowned jazz guitarist Bill Frisell!

Explore the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum

You could be excused for thinking of Central Arkansas as one of the last places a person could tour a submarine – but you’d be wrong! The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum lets you do just that – and so much more!
The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum (AIMM), located in North Shore Riverwalk Park, along the Arkansas River in North Little Rock, opened in 2005 with the intent of preserving and exhibiting America’s substantial maritime and naval heritage.

Escape the Grind at North Little Rock’s Old Mill

If you’ve ever seen “Gone With The Wind,” you’ve seen North Little Rock’s Old Mill but, unless you’ve visited, you’ve not really seen it.
The brainchild of developer Justin Matthews, North Little Rock’s Old Mill, also known as “Pugh’s Mill,” was built in 1933 in T.R. Pugh Memorial Park as a replica of an old, water-powered grist mill, dedicated to the memory of Arkansas’s pioneers.
